Smartphone cameras have become so good that most of us can take great pictures. Now, you can buy camera phones under 30,000 INR which can take photos better than even some of the dedicated cameras in that price range. I also love the fact that camera phones make it very easy to take photos. All you need to do is point and shoot with a steady hand and your camera phone will take care of the rest. That said, not all camera phones are made equally and there are some camera phones which are better than others. In order to help our readers find the best camera phones, we are listing down the 10 best camera phones under 30000 INR which they can buy to capture their lives’ favorite moments:

1. Galaxy A7

Samsung launched the Galaxy A7 a while back and the phone has some of the best cameras in its price range. The Galaxy A7 brings a triple rear camera featuring a 24MP + 8MP + 5MP set up on the back that’s capable of taking amazing shots. In good lighting, the Galaxy A7 takes shots that have remarkable colors, detail, and dynamic range. Plus, even in low light, the Galaxy A7 manages to capture a lot of light, thanks to its Super Pixel technology. The pictures are a bit on the softer side, but they’re still pretty impressive and don’t leave a lot to complain about. Plus, the 8MP wide-angle camera enables some pretty impressive shots that usually look really cool.

2. Poco F1

There’s no denying the fact that Poco F1 is the best value for money smartphone out there as it is bringing a Snapdragon 845 processor at a very reasonable price. However, many people don’t know that the smartphone also packs the best cameras in the price range. The primary camera on the smartphone uses a great dual 12MP + 5MP sensor at the back which takes good photos. The daylight shots are full of detail and have accurate colors. The same holds good when we look at pictures taken in natural lighting but indoors. The rear camera does a commendable job of keeping the details intact, even in a dim ambiance.

Vivo is yet another company which focuses a lot on its selfie camera performance. The new Vivo V11 Pro is a nice smartphone for all the selfie lovers to buy. The smartphone is packing a 25MP camera at the front allowing you to take some amazing and detailed selfies. The selfies have great detail and very low noise. The smartphone is also able to take good selfies in low-light conniptions which are not something every smartphone can do. The primary camera is not half bad either with its dual 12 MP + 5 MP camera taking decent pictures.

Taking the second spot on the list is the latest flagship to enter the market, the Asus Zenfone 5Z. The device not only undercuts the OnePlus 6 when it comes to pricing, but also features a significanlty better camera setup. On paper, the Zenfone 5Z has a 12MP f/1.8 primary + 8MP f/ 2.0 wide-angle secondary camera setup on the back with PDAF, OIS and EIS which makes the camera both stable and snappy. The camera not only takes great pictures from the get go, but also has a very comprehensive pro mode to go along which will allow you to adjust even the most minute of details before you take a picture. However, the device does tend to over-sharpen images a bit, which creates a bit of noise in the end result.

While the Zenfone FZ does have portrait mode, it’s barely usable as the edge detection is pretty bad. We hope Asus can fix that in a subsequent software update. Up front, the Zenfone 5Z has an 8MP f/2.0 shooter with EIS which delivers great selfies and is also good for recording videos or making video calls as the video output is pretty stable. The front camera also has a portrait mode, but just like the rear cameras, it’s barely usable. Another downside of the front camera is its low light performance, the camera isn’t able to capture sufficient amount of light and the photos clicked in low light conditions turn out noisy and over exposed.

Honor View 10 is my favorite camera phone on this list as it brings a primary camera which boasts of a 16MP+20MP dual-camera setup and can take some really amazing photos. However, the thing which I think gives the Honor View 10 an edge over other capable camera phones on this list is the aperture size of those lenses. The Honor view 10 offers a wide aperture ranging from f/.95 to f/16 which is just crazy. This helps the smartphone in capturing images with rich colors and pixel-perfect sharpness. The megapixels help in generating highly detailed images which don’t lose quality even while zooming at high levels.

If you want you can also check out our full review of the device which will give you an in-depth look at the camera performance along with camera samples. When it comes to the front-facing camera, the View 10 features a 13MP sensor which is great for selfies. That said, the Vivo V9 does have a slight advantage over the View 10 when it comes to front-facing camera shots. Still, the overall camera performance of Honor View 10 is undeniably great and you cannot go wrong with this camera phone.

Oppo F9 Pro is a great smartphone for all the selfie lovers out there. The smartphone packs a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera sensor at the back while the front facing one brags of a whopping 25MP sensor which can take some amazing selfies. The primary camera on this phone takes quite good photos, however, there’s no denying the fact that the selfie camera is the USP of this device. The selfies taken with Oppo F9 Pro have great details and they are quite color accurate. I also love the fact that the selfie camera captures a wider area than your normal smartphones which makes this great for group selfies.

We will start our list with a phone from the smartphone company which made its name in India because of its camera phones. When Vivo entered India, the smartphone market was already crowded. Hence to differentiate itself from the competitors, the company focused and highlighted the cameras in their smartphones. As a result, Vivo makes some decent camera phones in the market and Vivo V9 is a prime example of that. The Vivo V9 brings a dual-camera setup with a 16MP and a 5MP sensor. The smartphone takes some really stunning photos. The camera offers various features including slow motion, AI face beauty, time-lapse photography, live photo, bokeh mode, AR sticker, AR stickers, 4K video, and more.

8. Nokia 7 Plus

When HMD Global announced Nokia 7 Plus, we were eagerly waiting for the smartphone to launch in India as it had everything that a mid-range flagship device should bring. After making us wait for a long time, Nokia finally released the Nokia 7 Plus a few weeks back and to be frank, the smartphone impressed the hell out of us. The phone has everything going for it. From its beautiful display to excellent build quality to crazy performance, everything about this phone screams premium.

Huawei Nova 3i is turning out to be one hell of a smartphone. Not only it packs respectable specs but it is also one of the first mid-range smartphones to bring dual-camera sensors both at the back and at the front. The smartphone packs a 16 MP (f/2.2) + 2 MP sensors as its primary camera along with a 24 MP + 2 MP dual-camera sensor serving as the selfie shooter. As you can see, at its price, it is really hard to beat the Huawei Nova 3i. While we have not tested these cameras yet, if Huawei’s past is any indicator, the Nova 3i will blow its competitors out of the water.

When the Nokia 8 first launched in India, it was priced at Rs. 36,999, but the phone has since received price cuts and is now available for just Rs. 29,999. At that price, the Nokia 8 brings in a 13MP + 13MP dual rear camera set up with one monochrome sensor and one RGB sensor. The phone takes pretty good pictures in all sorts of conditions. In good lighting, the pictures have great colors and details and are pretty good. In low light too, the phone manages to take decent pictures, but it does sometimes have issues with overexposing areas of the image in low light.

On the front, the Nokia 8 features a 13MP selfie shooter that too performs pretty well, especially in good lighting where selfies from the Nokia 8 have good colors and sharpness. In low light, things do take a hit, but selfies from the Nokia 8 are still pretty usable even when taken in low light, so it’s nothing to worry too much about.
