The Final Fantasy XIV Online Store lets players purchase gear for their in-game avatars. These items range from consumables and gearsets to emotes and mounts. There are plenty of options for players to purchase, and the shop even tracks which items are the most popular amongst players.

Here are the top ten selling items in the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store in Dec. 2021, along with a brief description of each item.

10. Ten Pots of Jet Black Dye—$7.50

A set of ten Jet Black Dye consumables allows players to change the color of dyeable equipment and armor. Each pot of dye gets one use before disappearing from the player inventory.

9. Emote: Play Dead—$7.00

Purchasing the Emote: Play Dead item grants players the Ballroom Etiquette - A Fitting End consumable. It allows players to perform the above action otherwise unobtainable in Final Fantasy XIV. The different races of Eorzea express this emotion in different ways.

The Female Werewolf Set is an item exclusive to female residents of Eorzea, and it was available in a previous in-game event. The Female Werewolf Set looks differently on the different races of Eorzea.

7. Dirndl’s Attire—$18.00

The Dirndl’s Attire Set comes with Dirndl’s Hat, Bodice, Wrist Torque, Long Skirt, and Pumps, which players can equip individually for their character. This dress is an exclusive set for female characters in Final Fantasy XIV, and the gear has different appearances depending on the character’s race wearing it.

6. Vampire’s Vest—$3.00

The Vampire Vest commemorates All Saints’ Wake. Players can dye the cape and vest of this set in different colors. The Vampire’s Vest was available in a previous in-game event, and it appears differently depending on the race of the Eorzean wearing it.

Costume made to help celebrate the All Saints’ Wake. Witch’s Attire includes Witch’s Hat, Coatee, Gloves, and Thighboots that can take on a variety of colors via dyes. Appearance varied depending on character race and was available during a past in-game event. Headgear doesn’t display on Hrothgar or Viera characters.

A set of ten Pure White Dye consumables allows players to change the color of dyeable pieces of gear. Each pot of dye gets one use before disappearing from the player’s inventory, like the Jet Black Dye set.

3. Mount: Cruise Chaser (Account-wide)—$29.99

A Warmachina changes form depending on whether it’s on land or in the skies. Buying this item gives players the Cruise Chaser Identification Key that players can use to unlock the Cruise Chaser. The Cruise Chaser mount can hold two riders, meaning players can bring a friend along for the ride as long as the pair are in the same party.

2. Emote: Pantomime—$7.00

An emote that allows players to partake in the pantomime act. Purchasing this item grants players the Ballroom Etiquee - Impromptu Performance item, and using this item permanently unlocks the Pantomime emote for any character.

1. Phial of Fantasia—$10.00

The most popular item of Dec. 2021 is the Phial of Fantasia. This item allows players to change their character’s look, race, and even gender once. Perfect for players looking to try a different appearance for their avatar.
