VirtuGlasses Lens Insert for Oculus Quest 2
- Can be difficult to remove
While users with clear vision won’t face difficulties with the Quest 2, things can be difficult for bespectacled VR users. If you wear prescription glasses, you might have been using the glass spacer that comes with the Quest 2. However, it’s no secret that the provided spacer is not perfect. A company called Amavasion is here with a handy solution.
Quest 2 Elite Strap
- Some users have reported plastic cracking
- A bit expensive
The Quest 2 is pretty comfortable when worn with its default strap. However, it does tend to get a bit heavy on the head after a while. This is because the majority of the weight of the headset is in the front. The Quest 2 Elite Strap has been ergonomically designed to help distribute the weight better and make the experience more comfortable. Used correctly, the strap should ensure your playing time is enjoyable.
Quest 2 Carrying Case
- Expensive for a case
The Oculus Quest 2 after all, is a device you can take anywhere and share with your friends and family. While the box the headset comes in is robust, it is nowhere portable enough to take it with you everywhere. This is where the official Quest 2 carrying case comes in. Designed for extreme portability the Quest 2 carrying case allows users to easily pack up their VR headset and take it with them anywhere.
AMVR Table Tennis Paddle Grip Handle
- Design not for everyone
If you’ve gone through our list of the best VR games, you already know about Eleven Table Tennis and how fun it can be on the Quest 2. But how do you make it even more realistic and fun ? Strap on the AMVR TT grip handle of course. This handy handle has been designed to simulate the look and feel of a real tennis paddle.
Anker Charging Dock for Oculus Quest 2
- Expensive
- Not compatible with the Oculus Elite strap battery pack
It’s no secret the Quest 2 has an average battery life. And if you’re a regular VR user you must already be tired of hooking the headset up to the wall adapter repeatedly. The Anker charging dock is a much quicker solution that covers not only the headset but the controllers as well. The dock itself is very appealing to look at and made out of sturdy quality. The dock also comes with two magnetic touch controller covers along with rechargeable batteries and a magnetic Type-C clip.
Once the covers have been changed and the input inserted, all you need to do is put your headset and controllers on the dock and the charring will begin right away. The Anker dock also has LED status lights that tell you the real-time charging status for the headset and both controllers. While you cannot use the Elite Strap battery pack along with this dock, this Quest 2 accessory is handy for players looking to charge and show off their VR set at the same time.
KIWI Upgraded Elite Strap for Oculus Quest 2
- More expensive than the elite strap
While the Quest 2 elite strap is official, you might be skeptical of it given the cracking issue in certain units. If you’re looking for alternatives then Kiwi has a solution. Deep in the Quest 2 accessory game, Kiwi has designed its own upgraded version of the Quest 2 elite strap. Starting from the side straps that have now been designed with an upgraded polymer material which means they can stand to bend more and still not break.
Logitech G333 VR Gaming Earphones
- Some users might like wireless better
The Quest 2 features some amazing directional speakers. However, even they cannot replace the immersion you get by putting on a pair of earphones. While the Quest 2 can support any set of 3.5mm earphones, Logitech has gone above and beyond to make a special set just for the Quest 2. The Logitech G333 VR gaming earphones have been designed with virtual reality users in mind and hence feature some amazing perks.
Rebuff Reality VR Power 2 for Quest 2
- Might be too heavy for some users
Some users are content with draining their battery and then charging their headset. However, if you’re someone who just wants to go on gaming without waiting, there is a way. VR Power 2 is a battery pack solution specially designed for the Oculus Quest 2. Packing a combined power of 10,000mAh in its battery pack, VR Power 2 is a set that easily hooks up to the Quest 2’s straps and charges the headset while you play. The VR Power 2 pack fits with almost all Quest 2 straps including the Elite battery pack.
AMVR Touch Controller Grip Cover
- No battery replacement slot
- Might interfere with sensors if installed wrong
The Quest 2’s controllers while incredibly attractive have an off-white scheme that can quickly fall victim to dust and sweaty palms. If you just bought your Quest headset and want to keep your controllers shiny, you need a good grip cover. Thankfully, the AMVR grip covers do the job and then some. Made out of high quality TPU plastic, the covers protect the majority of the touch controllers save for the sensors. The high quality build ensures that even if the controller falls, it won’t be terribly damaged.
Oculus Link Cable
- Doesn’t have Type-A output
- No Type-C adapter provided
If you’re someone who uses Oculus Air Link, you can steer clear of this accessory. However, if wireless lag plagues you then buying the Oculus Link might be a good idea. This official Type-C to C cable easily connects to the Quest 2 and your PC for some quality VR gaming. The 16 Feet long cable promises high throughput which translates to low latency and almost no loss. So you can go ahead and play Half-Life Alyx without losing detail.
The cable is also has a fiber optic core so rest assured the extra weight won’t bog you down while playing. You can even go ahead and use the Oculus Link cable to charge your Quest 2 once done. However, a downside here is the Type C output which means you will need to have a C port on your PC to use this cable. Considering the price it would have been nice if we got an adapter in the package but good adapters can easily be found online.
ProxiMat Metaverse Portal VR Mat
- Not suitable for very large areas
When you’re playing games on the Quest 2, it’s all too easy to run around your play space and accidentally run into a wall. To solve this you can either not move while playing VR (not fun) or you can invest in this handy ProxiMat. Designed to mimic VR play space area, the ProxiMat Metaverse portal is a handy mat that you can put on your floor and play on. Depending on your space, you can pick from a range of sizes and even buy a big 56 inch mat.
KIWI Design Fitness Facial Interface
The Quest 2’s foam covers while comfortable gave a lot of people facial problems when it first came out. Meta solved that by shipping out free Silicone covers. While good, the silicone cover can easily trap extra sweat and hot air and make your experience less than fun. Thankfully, there are a lot of covers out there and Kiwi Design’s is one of them. Designed with comfort and style in mind, the Kiwi facial interface is an upgraded version of the stock one and features better build material.
