We always talk about Android apps that are practical and make life productive but what about the apps that add a little fun to our lives? They too are very important, right? Fortunately, Android app developers do have a sense of humor and that shows up in a variety of fun apps. Over the past few months we have tested and discovered a number of fun Android apps. So, if you want some Android apps to pass time, here are 17 cool and fun Android apps to kill boredom you can use in 2020.

TikTok has taken the world by storm. It just crossed over a billion downloads on Android. And I know some people find it polarizing but you cannot deny that there’s a huge selection of funny content on this platform. I don’t post on TikTok but I regularly browse it and follow specific creators who make hilarious content. Currently, it’s one of the funniest places on the internet, and if you have still not boarded this hype train, you should install it right now. If you want a pro tip, it’s to create a list of people who you find funny and follow them, so your feed is not overtaken by unwanted content.

For long xkcd has been the place where I go to get my daily dose of humor filled with existential crisis. xkcd describes itself as the webcomic for romance, sarcasm, math, and language, and that description is on point. If you enjoy humorous takes on these topics, you will fall in love with xkcd. I first mentioned xkcd on our best cool websites list. And although they don’t make an official app, Easy xkcd ensures that you don’t miss it. It offers a clean reading environment and has the ability to download the comics offline. Looking for a fun and cool app for Android? Don’t miss out on this one.

If your favorite genre is horror and you’re all about that jump-scare, then I think you are going to love Granny – or be afraid of her at all times. This horror arcade game sees you waking up in an empty room and you need to escape Granny’s house silently, without a sound made. Well, if you make a noise, then Granny will come running to knock you out with a baseball bat.

14. Particles Flow

If you are utterly bored and want something to just distract you from the monotony, then Particles Flow could be a great addition to your Android smartphone. This app will display 50,000 small particles on your screen which are attracted to 5 points you can choose and move with your fingers. You can adjust the settings and even set Particles Flow as a live wallpaper.

15. Wakie Community

Download: Free, in-app purchases start at $0.99

16. Psychedelic Camera

Pictoword is a fun little app that lets you play a word game where you get two pics that combine to create a word or phrase. You have to figure out what those pics mean, and use the letters given below to create the right answer. I love Pictoword as it never fails to challenge me. You can either play alone or make it a competition among friends to see who gets the answer first. This is a game for all genders and ages. It should exist on every fun and cool Android apps list.
