Xbox Game Pass has long since been lauded as one of the best deals in gaming. While the idea of paying for a subscription service for new titles is enticing, often, it’s what comes next that draws in more subscribers. Yet, while this year’s Xbox Bethesda Showcase has passed, plenty of titles are still set to launch this 2022. The much anticipated A Plague Tale sequel is included as a part of that list. Revealed at E3 a year ago, many fans have been curious as to the status of the project. With a trailer debuting at the event, many wondered when the game would see release. Despite many other video games seeing delays from Xbox Bethesda, many were curious when A Plague Tale sequel would release. Now, A Plague Tale: Requiem has finally received an extended gameplay showcase, and a release date reveal.

When Is A Plague Tale: Requiem’s Release Date?

Despite many trailers being sparse with gameplay elements, this new showcase gives a wide range of what to expect. Showcasing the updated visuals players will see on PS5 and Xbox Series X, as well as a brief stealth segment. The combat is much more focused and utilizes specific lures and ammo types to maneuver through enemies easily. Not only do traditional bolas return from the original but with fire and other augments that can certainly make them much more deadly. The crossbow also adds a whole new layer to the combat that speeds up and enhances the encounters. Players must be more alert to surrounding guards when in stealth to not draw any suspicion. The end of the trailer leaves players with a cliffhanger which presumably will conclude the story’s intro. Finishing with a release date of October 18th, fans won’t have to wait too much longer.
