During CineEurope 2022, Aaron Taylor-Johnson talked about Kraven the Hunter and other projects, like the upcoming Brad Pitt action movie Bullet Train, as reported by Variety. He spoke about what drew him to the character and what makes him unique in the vast roster of villains that have gone up against Spider-Man.
At the conference, Aaron Taylor-Johnson described Kraven as “one of Marvel’s most iconic, notorious anti-heroes — Spider Man’s number one rival.” To the actor, a part of the attraction to the role was that he is “not an alien or a wizard. He’s just a hunter, a human with conviction. An animal lover and a protector of the natural world. He’s a very, very cool character.”
When it comes to the actual production, superhero movies get stuck in a stereotype that they are always shot on a green screen with nothing but CGI with nothing real on set except for the actors and maybe a few costumes. While it is not the case, the actor confirmed that the Sony Pictures film was shot “entirely on location.”
Besides discussing Kraven, Aaron Taylor-Johnson spoke about Bullet Train. He watched the film by director David Leitch (Atomic Blonde), based on a novel by author Kôtarô Isaka.
