A woman has filed a lawsuit against Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler claiming she assaulted him when she was 16 years old. According to Deadline, Julia Holcomb is accusing Tyler of sexual assault, sexual battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She filed her suit against Tyler under the California Child Victims Act, which temporarily lifted the statute of limitations for survivors of childhood abuse. It is under this same Act that Kristina Charlotte Hirsch has filed a sexual assault lawsuit against Warren Beatty. The time window to file these suits is closing in a couple of days, and Holcomb is using this window as her opportunity to come against Steven Tyler.

Disturbing Allegations Against Singer Steven Tyler in Assault Lawsuit

While Steven Tyler’s name isn’t mentioned in the lawsuit, Holcomb has spoken publically about her experiences with the Aerosmith singer. She claims these experiences took place over the course of three years. Holcomb claims that Tyler plied her with drugs and alcohol, had sex with her, and brought her on tour with him. She also claims that she became pregnant, and Tyler convinced her to have an abortion. Holcomb had made these claims in 2011 when Tyler published a memoir and admitted that he almost took a “teen bride.” Tyler said that her parents “fell in love with me, signed a paper over for me to have custody, so I wouldn’t get arrested if I took her out of state. I took her on tour with me.”

Steven Tyler is the latest of many male celebrities to be accused of sexual assault. Marilyn Manson, Kevin Spacey, and many others have several accusations against them.

The accusation against singer Steven Tyler comes in the midst of Aerosmith canceling eight of its shows due to Tyler needing to enter rehab. Aerosmith canceled its final two shows due to Tyler suffering from an undisclosed illness.
