We were talking about the battle royale and multiplayer genre not long ago. Some of them try to stay on top with new gimmicks, and some fall short and disappear. One of those was Spellbreak. Which, sadly, is closing its doors. Yet, there is one game that past flying above our heads (no pun intended) and is getting a console release. Century: Age of Ashes Console release is set for this month. A multiplayer game where you fly a dragon, shoot enemies, and that’s pretty much it. We don’t say it as something underwhelming, though. No. This game is truly, truly amazing. Century: Age of Ashes is a game you definitely need to try this month.
Century: Age of Ashes Console Version Releases This Month
The game was announced as a Free-to-Play game, and that was it. Only for PC, though; no Age of Ashes Console announcement yet. Century: Age of Ashes was released back in December of 2021. People got excited about it, and some people played it, but we would say that those dragons didn’t roar too much because we didn’t hear a lot about it. Yet, that doesn’t mean the game was bad or a flop. It catered to a niche of players that continues to play to this day. The fact that the Century: Age of Ashes console release is due this month is a good sign.
The game had quite good reviews. However, as with many games, the fact that it launches only for PC sometimes makes the release a bit quieter. In a market where we have games like Call of Duty that release on all platforms, it isn’t a surprise that games like this stay silent for a bit. But as we mentioned, the Century: Age of Ashes console release is something good for players who want to try it. It will arrive on July 12th for the Xbox consoles and on July 19th for the PlayStation system. We are very happy to see new multiplayer games with fresh concepts. Games that work perfectly while others like the latest vampire battle royale, not so much. This could be a lesson for multiplayer game developers to get risky with designs and try something new.
