Besides Fallout, there is another franchise that is celebrating its 25 years of launch. Age of Empires, the king of RTS that ruled the genre for years, has turned 25. With that, we have gotten some announcements right now. One of those, and it is a big one, is the official announcement of the Age of Mythology Remaster. That’s right. For those who enjoyed the spin-off a bit more than the Age of Empires game, the team behind the titles has announced Age of Mythology Retold. This game will be a full remaster that is bringing some changes, enhanced graphics, and more.

Age of Mythology Remaster doesn’t have a release date yet

There are a few details we know about the Age of Mythology Retold. Just like the Age of Empires Remasters, it seems that the developers are following the same style. Improved graphics, some tweaks to the gameplay, and so on. While some people have not been fans of the previous remasters, especially the third one, Age of Empires 4 didn’t turn out too bad. This new game and Age of Empires 2 Remaster are arriving on Xbox next year. It is great to see the RTS genre expanding to consoles.

Gods will return. Heroes will rise. Legends will battle.

Age of Mythology: Retold is coming.

Bringing the Definitive Edition treatment to Age of Mythology, the game will feature beautiful graphics, updated gameplay and more. Stay tuned… #AoE25 ⚡🔱 pic.twitter.com/bLjRLEUz1I

Age of Empires IV May Be Heading to Xbox Consoles

While one of those two franchises has always been the most famous one, fans of the Age of Mythology Remaster are happy. It was a fresh take on the genre, and it was nice to have Titans kicking some buildings down while watching armies fight on the field. We imagine that with the remaster, these things will look even greater. Yet, as with any other release, we’ll have to wait. We hope this remaster turns out a lot better than Warcraft 3. Another beloved game that did poorly when it launched. With false promises and terrible optimization, we just hope that the developers of the Age of Mythology Retold deliver what we want.
