FX has released the latest trailer for Archer season 13. The footage prepares audiences for more adventures with the greatest spy, Sterling Archer. It also shows how the show will tackle the death of Jessica Walter, who played the leader of the agency and the mother of the protagonist, Malory Archer.
The latest outing for FX’s adult animated comedy will focus heavily on the death of Walter. Without her character, the agency has no leader, so the big question of who will fill her seat will be asked throughout the season. Everyone will need to prove themselves to see who is worthy. Walter had a massive career in TV and film. She starred most notably in Archer and Arrested Development. The Emmy-winner died peacefully in her New York home at 80 years old.
The trailer for Archer shows the humorous conflict for the agent. He is coping with the death of his mother, so he wants to honor her memory. While he needs to be responsible and professional, the habits that fans know so well get in the way of being who he needs to be to truly honor his mother. The footage shows plenty of action, drunken antics, and sex.

The three-time Emmy winner was created in 2009 by Adam Reed, who also voices Ray Gillette. H. Jon Benjamin leads the series as Archer. Starring with him are Judy Greer (Cheryl Tunt), Amber Nash (Pam Poovey), Chris Parnell (Cyril Figgis), Aisha Tyler (Lana Kane), and Lucky Yates (Doctor Krieger).
Archer season 13 will feature plenty of guest stars. You can expect to hear the voices of Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live), Alison Pill (Star Trek: Picard), Christian Slater (Mr. Robot), Kayvan Novak (What We Do in the Shadows), and more.
The next season of Archer hits FXX on August 24. It can also be streamed on Hulu.
