Remember the matchmaking reality series Are You The One? Paramount Plus has just greenlit the creation of a British version of the hit MTV U.S. series dubbed ‘Are You The One? U.K.’. Coming from Geordie Shore and True Love or True Lies producer Lime Pictures, Are You The One? UK version is set to debut on Paramount Plus’ UK streaming service and MTV channels outside of the U.S. in late 2022.

Are You The One? UK version is hosted by British broadcaster and presenter Joelah Noble. Are You The One? UK version will similarly follow the same format as the U.S. version, which follows 20 unlucky-in-love people who have scientifically been paired with their “Perfect Match,” that is, if they can find each other. If all 20 contestants can uncover the 10 “Perfect Matches” by the end of the season, the cast members could all be going home with a significant cash prize and possibly love.

Are You The One? first premiered on MTV in 2014 and is still running today. The U.S. series, produced by Lighthearted Entertainment, has run for eight seasons so far. The last few seasons have additional names added to the season title, such as Season 7: Season of Fate, which was filmed in Hawaii and featured a change in the rules to obtain a date, and Season 8: Come One, Come All, also filmed in Hawaii but had a significant shift in the series. All the cast members of Are You The One? Season 8: Come One, Come All were bisexual, with no gender limitations on their potential “perfect matches.” The LGBTQ positive season of Are You The One? received a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Reality Program in 2020.
