Former Bachelor in Paradise contestants Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile has officially tied the knot! The couple was reportedly spotted by PEOPLE magazine leaving a courthouse wedding in New York City Thursday morning. The couple shared photos and videos of their wedding on Instagram and Twitter and have announced their plans to hold a larger wedding ceremony next fall, according to Pitt.
Serena Pitt, 25, and Joe Amabile, 36, met on season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, which ran on ABC between August and October 2021. The season was filmed in Vallarta-Nayarit, Mexico, and featured Amabile and Pitt as contestants – Amabile, a podcast host, had previously appeared on The Bachelorette season 14 and Bachelor in Paradise season 5, while Pitt, a publicist, had appeared on The Bachelor season 25.
Joe Amabile proposed to Serena Pitt at the end of the season, stating that being with her “just felt right,” per ABC News. The couple maintained a long-distance relationship for months before moving to New York together in March 2022. Amabile and Pitt celebrated their engagement party in Pitt’s hometown of Toronto in August 2022. In a statement released by PEOPLE Magazine at the time, Pitt stated that her parents had suggested throwing an engagement party because of the couple’s “unconventional engagement.”
“We got engaged, and it was a secret for a period of time,” she told PEOPLE. “So this was a nice idea to bring some of our family and close friends together to celebrate a whole year later.”

After being engaged for just over a year, Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile officially said “I do” in a courthouse wedding Thursday morning; Pitt released the news via an Instagram post with the caption “JUST MARRIED!!”
Spotted by PEOPLE Magazine just after leaving New York City’s City Hall, Pitt and Amabile stated to the magazine, stating that “We have always known marriage was in our future; it just looked a little bit different than we expected.”

Natasha Parker starred alongside Pitt and Amabile in Bachelor in Paradise season 7, along with also starring in the 24th season of The Bachelor. Parker and other members of Bachelor Nation have shown an outpouring of support and love for the newlyweds, with many friends and fans looking forward to their fall wedding.
