The Bachelor star Ben Higgins has revealed that his wife did not watch his season on the show. The TV personality, who starred in the 20th season of the show, revealed that his wife, Jessica Clarke, was not a fan of the show. This was before they began dating.
Why His Wife Didn’t Watch Him On ‘Bachelor’
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the Almost Famous co-host, 33, disclosed that his wife did not watch The Bachelor before they got together. He noted that she was not too interested in watching his season either. Ben stated:
Although Jessica was not a fan of the show, her mother was a fan. By virtue of this, the esthetician first saw her future husband when she joined her mother to watch one episode. This was when his season aired in 2016. Ben recounted:
The couple got engaged in March 2020, just over a year after Ben reached out to Jessica via Instagram and tied the knot in November 2021.
Does Ben Higgins Want His Wife to Watch His Season on The Bachelor?
The Alone in Plain Sight author previously stated that his wife has no plans to watch his season or any other season of The Bachelor. He disclosed that he would not stop his wife from watching his season of the show. However he did not “want her to feel any sort of heartbreak or sadness from that.”
While on the show, Ben proposed to Lauren Bushnell on the March 2016 finale of The Bachelor. However, the two called it quits about a year later. Jessica did not watch Ben Higgins on the show, but once their paths crossed, they signed up for forever.
