Peacock is serving up Baking It season 2 with a new host as Amy Poehler replaces Andy Samberg. She will be joining her Sisters co-star Maya Rudolph for the baking reality series on the streaming platform.

Baking It is a spinoff of the Amy Poehler series Making It, which was on NBC for three seasons with Nick Offerman co-hosting. The Parks and Recreation actress was already an executive producer of the baking series. It follows eight teams of two home bakers who tackle themed challenges for a cash prize. The next outing will be five episodes and an explosive second season with some smashed cakes.

Baking It finds a new host with Amy Poehler, replacing Andy Samberg

Amy Poehler serves as an executive producer of Baking It. Her co-host, Nicolle Yaron, Pip Wells, Kate Arend, and Dave Becky, also executive produce. Like the debut season, season 2 will hit Peacock on December 12. On the same day, fans of the series can look forward to a celebrity holiday special on NBC. The competition special will raise money for charity.

Besides hosting duties on reality TV, the star has plenty of acting gigs for people who are not into baking reality shows. She will team up with Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Chelsea Peretti’s directorial debut in the rightfully named comedy First Time Female Director. The film will see Peretti star and write on top of her directing duties. Pixar will have the Parks and Recreation star back for Inside Out 2, which will release on June 14, 2024. She will continue her voice acting work with Nicktoons in 2024 with Dee Bradley Baker (American Dad), Richard Steven Horvitz (Invader Zim), and Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911!).

Before the December return of Baking It, you can currently catch up on season 1 to compare Andy Samberg and Amy Poehler. The series is available on Peacock.
