A website for the Black Clover mobile game launched early Monday morning JST. The official name for the game is Black Clover Mobile: Rise of the Wizard King. A video letter from game developer Vic Game Studios’ CEO Choi Jae-Young confirmed that the game will launch worldwide in the first half of 2023. The game will also conduct global closed beta testing in select regions. With the launch of the website, a prologue and a trailer for Black Clover Mobile: Rise of the Wizard King was also posted.

The mobile game will launch for iOS and Android devices. It will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. The game was initially scheduled for worldwide release in 2022. However, the game developer decided to delay its release to improve the game’s quality.

Bandai Namco Entertainment launched the Black Clover Phantom Knights smartphone game in Japan in November 2018. It then released the game’s English version for Android and iOS in January 2020. However, the game ended service in both languages in December 2020.

‘Black Clover’ Mobile Game: A Long Running Series Behind It

Yuki Tabata launched the Black Clover manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015. Viz Media is currently publishing the manga digitally and in print. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus is also publishing the manga digitally. Most recently, the manga reached over 18 million copies in circulation worldwide.

The Black Clover manga then inspired an anime adaptation in October 2017. The show was originally listed as having 51 episodes but continued into a new season in October 2018. It was then followed by another season in October 2019. The show went on hiatus in April 2020 due to COVID-19 and resumed in July 2020. Altogether, the show ended with its final 170th episode in March 2021. Crunchyroll streamed the series in Japanese with English subtitles and an English dub.

Currently, the Black Clover anime is available to stream on Funimation and  Crunchyroll. The Black Clover manga is available to read and purchase through Viz Media and Manga Plus.
