While a browse through her Instagram screams daddy’s girl, Tracee Ellis Ross on Today show claimed that she feels like a 5-year-old with her mom on stage—the 50-year-old also loves being 50. Tracee Ellis blessed fans with her charming personality on “Girlfriends” and “Black-ish.” Though she has very few TV hits, she made significant contributions to the Hulu docuseries, “The Hair Tales.”
For the production, she teamed up with media mogul Oprah Winfrey, and the women had an incredible time together speaking about Black women and their hair. Tracee Ellis Ross on Today show echoed that the interview with Winfrey was not intimidating. Instead, she had a swell time with the iconic TV host.
However, she made an honest admission about what being next to her famous mom, Diana Ross, on stage feels like while proclaiming love for her aging process.

Tracee Ellis On Today Show Shares How Being On Stage With Mom Makes Her Feel
Despite not having any huge on-screen project since “Black-ish,” Tracee Ellis on the Today show highlighted that she would love to be in an action flick someday, even at 50. Her to-do list includes finding a partner and writing a book, but despite these big dreams and an already successful career, she feels intimidated by her mother.
“I get so nervous when I sing with her. I did a movie, I did ‘The High Note,’ I sang, I recorded songs, I was in the studio, I was on the stage singing with a microphone, no problem. I get on the stage with my mom, I’m 5 years old,” she recalled.
Amid her fears and hopes, the younger Ross is confident about her age, and for her, there is no slowing down, even at 50. She feels ready to explore the world, and with an exciting tone, she added, “I think I’m the sexiest I’ve ever been. I feel fantastic, and I feel like the world is my oyster.”
Through her Instagram, fans can catch up with her everyday life, which is a blend of enjoying family time with her dad, staying fit through exercises, and promoting businesses.
