The BAU are returning for their most daring unsub to date. Paramount has released the trailer (seen below) for Criminal Minds: Evolution, which shows us the new killer who has built a networker of murderers during the COVID-19 pandemic. OG serial killer hunters are back with Joe Montegna, Kirsten Vangsness, A.J. Cook, Paget Brewster, Aisha Tyler, and Adam Rodriguez. They will be joined by newcomer Zach Gilford (The Midnight Club).

The reboot sees the return of the federal agents who investigate and analyze dangerous criminals, with an emphasis on serial killers. The Criminal Minds: Evolution trailer gives us a look at the fresh and familiar faces. From the original series, Matthew Gray Gubler and Daniel Henney are not confirmed to reprise their roles.

The original series did not take much of a stop when it concluded in 2020 after airing on CBS since 2005. In those years, it had seen plenty of lineup changes, like Shemar Moore leaving the series and Thomas Gibson being fired after kicking one of the producers. Still, the series went on and continued its success in the realm of network TV crime procedurals. During its run, it was nominated for three Emmys.

Erica Messer ran the original series and continues to do so with the reboot as Messer serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Breen Frazier, Christopher Barbour, Glenn Kershaw, and Mark Gordon will serve as executive producers. Frazier and Barbour will write with Kershaw directing.

The Criminal Minds: Evolution trailer should hold you over as it hits Paramount Plus soon. It will premiere with two episodes of its ten-episode debut season on November 24. It will drop one episode a week until its mid-season finale on December 15. It will return for the rest of its run on January 12 to February 9.
