COVID continues to spread through the set of Dancing with the Stars as Daniella Karagach tested positive. She will miss tonight’s performance. Her dance partner, actor, and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, Joseph Baena, will not go solo or miss tonight as dance troupe member Alexis Warr will take the position to keep the duo in the competition.

A spokesperson confirmed that Dancing with the Stars competitor Daniella Karagach might be positive for COVID but is “asymptomatic and is self-quarantining” (via Deadline). Anyone who had contact with the dancer already tested and came out negative.

Daniella Karagach is dancing this season of Dancing with the Stars with her husband, Pasha Pashvok, also competing. Her husband is paired with Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice.

Daniella Karagach of Dancing with the Stars tests positive for COVID

The news about the latest case of COVID follows four cases from the crew. Personnel from different departments had contracted the virus. At the time, no other cases had spread from the people who were sick. To take action, the crew would clean the set frequently and send people to work from home when possible. The series was cleared to continue production during that first burst of cases and continues to be in the clear with this latest case.

It has taken a lot to adjust for the Dancing with the Stars cast and crew this season. It is the first season on Disney+, making it a challenge to fill its two hours without commercials eating up some of its runtime. Starting off with 16 contestants, its personality-driven hosts, and other segments to entertain audiences, it has proven to be figuring out how to be a streaming series after years of being on network TV.

Besides getting sick, this has been a solid start on this season of Dancing with the Stars for Daniella Karagach and her partner. The duo earned 23 out of 40 points during the premiere.
