With The Batman already off to a wildly successful start, fans can look forward to another appearance of the caped crusader this year. A new trailer for DC League of Super-Pets has been released, and it features Keanu Reeves voicing Batman. The teaser features Batman having a conversation with Ace the Bat-Hound (Kevin Hart), who for a moment struggle to connect, which they explain to each other is due to their traumatic pasts. However, after a dark yet funny montage, Ace hops on Batman and starts licking his face once they realize how similar they are. We also get a glimpse of Superman and Batman’s love/hate relationship rubbing off on their dogs, with Ace mocking Krypto (Dwayne Johnson) for his idolizing of Superman (John Krasinski) and Superman treating Ace to a “Squeezy Bruce” toy with a Batman design. Although perhaps the funniest point in the trailer is the self-referential mockery of Batman’s “work alone” mentality. View the trailer below:

The story for DC League of Super-Pets was announced via DC Kids FanDome. The first trailer was released in November. The film will feature Johnson’s Krypto assembling a team of super-pets to help the Justice League, who have been captured by Lex Luthor (Marc Maron). Collider reports that people having Keanu Reeves portray Batman as a fulfillment of many fans’ dreams. Along with Reeves and the other aforementioned cast, the film will star Vanessa Bayer as PB, the pot-bellied pig who can grow in scale (pet to Wonder Woman), Natasha Lyonne as Merton the super-speed powered turtle (pet to The Flash), and Diego Luna as Chip, the squirrel with electric powers (pet to Green Lantern).  Kate McKinnon, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz, and Jameela Jamil also have undisclosed roles in the DC League of Super-Pets. However, it is possible they will portray the remaining members of the Justice League besides Superman and Batman.

DC League of Super-Pets will release in theaters on May 20.
