The showrunner of the Netflix series Fate: The Winx Saga, Brian Young, has announced it’s been canceled. “This is not fun news to share, but Netflix [has] decided not to move forward with Season 3 of Fate: The Winx Saga,” Young said on Instagram. Season 1 of the series debuted in January 2021, Season 2 debuted in September 2022. Netflix created Fate: The Winx Saga as a reimagined version of Winx Club. Italian animator Iginio Straffi created the original series. Abigail Cowen, Hannah van der Westhuysen, Precious Mustaph, and more star in the Netflix live-action fantasy teen drama series. Season 2 debuted on the Netflix Top 10 as the second-most viewed English-language TV title and the third-most watched title overall. From its popularity on Netflix, the announcement of Fate: The Winx Saga being canceled is a surprise to fans. Sadly, high viewership doesn’t guarantee a renewal.

This May or May Not Be the Last Fans See of “Winx Club”

The original animated series ran from 2004 to 2009. Nickelodeon brought the series back from 2011 to 2019. Netflix then reimagined the series and created the live-action teen fantasy drama series Fate: The Winx Saga. It was able to reach both millennial and Gen Z audiences with this revival. Unfortunately, Fate: The Winx Saga has been canceled yet again. This could just be another roadblock for fans of the series or it could be done for good. Netflix doesn’t want to spend more money on the series, but it doesn’t mean that audiences did not like it. Netflix has canceled many fan-favorite series, and Fate: The Winx Saga is just their latest target. The Netflix live-action teen fantasy drama series had two solid seasons and that is no small feat. Fate: The Winx Saga is just a part of the wider Winx Club universe that fans can revisit.

You can see both Season 1 and Season 2 of Fate: The Winx Saga on Netflix.
