Details of the Jon Snow sequel series to Game of Thrones have not been released. However, some theories suggest the possibility that Jon Snow could sit on the Iron Throne after all. Jon was revealed to be a Targaryen in the last season, which meant he was a potential heir to the throne. However, in the finale, he was exiled for killing his lover and aunt, Daenerys Targaryen. This was one of many controversial plotlines that angered Game of Thrones fans. The backlash was so intense that George R.R. Martin promised to end his books differently.
