The critically acclaimed co-op video game It Takes Two is an action-adventure by Hazelight Studios and published by Electronic Arts. According to the Game Overview on the official website for the game,

It Takes Two follows the troubled couple, Cody and May, as they contemplate divorce and find their minds transported into two dolls that their daughter, Rose, made to represent them. They must then go on a wild and fantastical journey to find a way to get back into their bodies.

Hazelight Studios founder Josef Fares even told Variety in February that “Since it has a strong narrative with many crazy characters and just as crazy co-op action moments, the potential is huge for a great adaption to film or television.”

After selling 5 million copies and winning Game of the Year at the annual D.I.C.E. Awards and this year’s Game Awards, the It Takes Two movie adaptation is coming in full force with Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Production company boarding on to produce. Executively producing for Seven Bucks Productions is Dwayne Johnson, Danny Garcia, and Hiram Gracia alongside Sonic the Hedgehog screenwriters Pat Casey and Josh Miller. Dmitri M. Johnson, Dan Jevons, and Stephan Bugaj will executive produce for dj2, including Josef Fares and Oskar Wolontis for Hazelight Studios.
