Earlier today, it was reported that actor Alessandro Nivola would be joining the cast of the ‘Kraven the Hunter’ Sony movie. Word broke out after Deadline reported the Many Saints of Newark star was cast as a villain in the upcoming Sony Pictures Marvel movie ‘Kraven the Hunter.’
The movie ‘Kraven the Hunter’ is another installment in the growing world of Sony and Marvel’s collaboration. As actor Alessandro Nivola transfers from the world of the Sopranos and Jurassic Park, he joins a massive world of characters with endless possibilities. This latest Sony Picture’s universe of Marvel characters includes our beloved Peter Parker as Spider-Man, as well as Tom Hardy’s Venom and the upcoming film Morbius.
Although it’s unknown specifically what villainous character Alessandro Nivola will be playing, we know who he will join. Starring as the lead in the ‘Kraven the Hunter’ Sony movie is a Marvel repeat star Aaron Taylor-Johnson. You might recognize Taylor-Johnson from Age of Ultron as Quicksilver or Pietro Maximoff, twin of fan-favorite The Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff.
Only a few days ago, it was announced now Oscar-nominated and breakout star Ariana DeBose has been cast to the ‘Kraven the Hunter’ Sony movie. DeBose rose to fame earlier this year after her work in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story remake as she took on the iconic role of Anita. DeBose will be suiting up as a voodoo priestess and on again-off again lover of Kraven, Calypso.
Other cast members include Russell Crowe of Les Misérables and Gladiator, along with Fred Hechinger of The White Lotus and Hulu’s Pam & Tommy.
‘Kraven the Hunter’ is set to be released in theaters on January 13th, 2023.
