Deadline is reporting today that the Showtime series Let The Right One In will be recasting two of its recurring characters. Fernanda Andrade and Željko Ivane will be taking over the roles initially played by Susan Santiago and Larry Pine for the pilot episode.

Who Will They Be Playing?

Andrade will be playing Elizabeth, the spirited mother of Eleanor, played by Madison Taylor Baez, and the wife to Mark, played by Demián Bichir.

While Ivane will play Arthur, a scientist and former CEO of a disgraced pharmaceutical company that once was a shining beacon of health, Arthur is also the father of Claire, who Grace Gummer plays.

Fernanda Andrade is best known for her roles in tv series like Next (2020) and Narcos: Mexico (2020). While Željko Ivane is best known for numerous projects like The West Wing (2003), In Bruge (2008), Seven Psychopaths (2012), and most recently Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017).

The basis for the Let The Right One In premise comes to us by way of the 2004 best selling vampire drama novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist.

It’s also taking inspiration from the critically acclaimed 2008 Swedish film adaption, also by the same name, by director Tomas Alfredson. It’s a very somber take on the vampire genre that has been overrun by shiny vampires over the years. Check out the trailer below:
