The HBO Max series Minx and Love Life have been canceled by Warner Bros. Discovery. The streaming service put down the reverse card for Minx after previously renewing it for Season 2. In fact, Minx was just about to finish up production for Season 2 but Warner Bros. Discovery thought it best to get rid of the show altogether. The premise of the show follows the feminist Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond) and the low-rent publisher (Jake Johnson) as they make the first erotic magazine for women. Love Life was canceled after two seasons. Anna Kendrick was the main star in the first season and The Good Place star William Jackson Harper led the second season. Sam Boyd created the series, executive produced it, and was its showrunner. Warner Bros. Discovery had the HBO Max series Love Life and Minx canceled as one of its many questionable choices.

Warner Bros. Discovery canceled the HBO Max series Love Life and Minx as a part of its “cost-saving” strategies. Both series received positive reviews but that was not enough to save them. Season 1 of Love Life showed viewers the ups and downs of Darby’s (Anna Kendrick) life. It all leads to her finding her “person” and experiencing motherhood. Anna Kendrick only made a cameo in the second season but she remained part of the social circle of Marcus (William Jackson Harper). Season 1 was a good introduction to Doug (Jake Johnson) in Minx. The many, borderline illegal, strategies he used to keep his magazines in print added to the conflicts and funny situations of the show. Doug and Joyce often butt heads but managed to find common ground. No more updates on Darby or sketchy schemes by Doug.
Love Life and Minx are canceled but you can watch the seasons that were released on HBO Max.
