Variety is reporting that actor Arlene Dahl, who had appeared in notable soap operas One Life to Live and All My Children, has passed away in New York on Monday, she was 96 when she passed away. Her son, actor Lorenzo Lamas, posted this on Facebook:

Arlene Carol Dahl was born on August 11, 1925, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Idelle and Rudolph Dahl; both Norewigan parents immigrated to The United States, with Rudolph working as a Ford Dealer executive. Dahl studied elocution as a child and took dancing lessons too. She was active in theatre throughout her school career, starting out in elementary school through her final years in high school.
Dahl’s first major role was when she was cast in a supporting role for MGM in the 1948 rom-com, Brides Gone Wild. She would remain with MGM for about 4 years before going to work for Pine-Thomas Productions, from there her career would take off as she would become a notable actor of the 1950s. She also started Arlene Dahl Enterprises, a marketing firm that focused on cosmetics and lingerie.
She would continue her acting and writing career through the 1960s and 70s. Eventually finding her way to ABC’s soap opera, One Life to Live, where she would play Lucinda Schenck Wilson for 3 seasons.
Fortunately, she was able to work alongside her actor son, Lorenzo Lamas, when she had some guest appearances on Renegade.
