RHOA star Marlo Hampton has revealed that on July 1, her home was broken into by robbers. Her family was one of 15 in the attempted invasion, which saw four people arrested for the crime. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star finally spoke about the incident with Atlanta’s Channel 2 WSBTV.

“I heard the boom, when I heard my nephew scream, and I knew that scream was a scream of fear,” Marlo Hampton from RHOA said. “My heart dropped.”

In her home in Sandy Springs with her nephews, RHOA‘s Marlo Hampton saw what was happening from her security camera monitor. She saw the masked and armed invaders kick in her door as they tried to get in. She took her nephews to a panic room while she called 911. The people fled the scene for unknown reasons, but WSBTV cited that the fleeing was possibly due to her screaming.

In response to the attempted home invasion, the star thanked God by saying, “I just thank God and we’re covered in the blood of Jesus and I’m here to share this story with you.” She also warned women following the story that if they “have luxury items, be careful.”

RHOA star Marlo Hampton faced attempted home invasion

When police arrived at the home, they told Marlo Hampton about the string of break-ins in the area. One of the other notable victims was the mother of rapper Future, who was the final victim before the police apprehended the suspects

Police arrested four alleged gang members for the string of home robberies on July 17. They were found trying to get into the home of the rapper’s mother’s townhouse. It took two chases, one on foot and the other by car, before the police could catch up with the suspects and detain them. They were arrested for what happened that day, but the investigation is going into whether or not they are connected to what happened to the RHOA star Marlo Hampton and her nephews.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta currently airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo. The series is currently in the middle of season 14.
