In a post-Endgame world, Marvel Studios has taken some big swings with the crossovers in the multiverse and playing with genres. One of the biggest swings we have seen is the She-Hulk finale, and we have a light on that big fourth wall break from Jen Walters herself, Tatiana Maslany. (Spoilers ahead).

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the leading star of the Disney+ series opened up about the ideas that circled the She-Hulk finale and Kevin Feige’s approval. While Deadpool is known for giving that wink to the audience, this was the first time the MCU was given that treatment. Unhappy about the messy ending where every character comes up out of nowhere and Hulk on Hulk violence, Jen breaks out of the show to go into the Disney+ app and head to the studio to talk to Kevin. This risky ending caught her attention when she read it in the script.

Nothing in the world is perfect. Even the most die-hard fans of something will have critiques for what they love across any medium. For years, Marvel has been criticized for how it handles it third acts. In films like Black Panther and Ant-Man, we have seen heroes fight villains who have the same powers or suits rather than differing their powersets for a more engaging battle.

Addressing these issues in the MCU was a bold move. No matter how bold of a choice is, nothing gets past the boss. Feige approved of the She-Hulk finale. While he wouldn’t appear as he felt it was going into too far of territory, he did lean into the idea of a robot named K.E.V.I.N. running everything and all that came from Jen walking through Marvel Studios to talk to K.E.V.I.N.

We have been introduced to a slew of new heroes in the last year. It is not confirmed when we will see Jen Walters again. The hero/lawyer can have a second season of her show, appear in Daredevil: Born Again, in an untitled movie that Marvel has slated, and in an Avengers movie.
