‘SNL’ star Chris Redd suffered a brutal attack from a maniac in NYC, and TMZ has obtained the photos of his injury. The comic is smiling through the pain with a stitched nose and his eyes swollen and bruised.
The horrible incident occurred on Wednesday night in NYC. The actor/comedian was hit on the face severally by a random guy before he was rushed to the hospital. TMZ learned that the comedian drove up to the Comedy Cellar around 9:40 PM in Greenwich village.
A man in a security guard uniform rushed up and punched the SNL alum in the face as he alighted from his car. The assailant had escaped before the cops got to the scene.
Chris Redd’s brutal attack almost had him lose his Greg Yuna chain snatched off. However, he was able to recover it in pieces.
The star’s nose injury was severe because the attacker had brass knuckles on. But thankfully, it has been stitched up while he takes some time to heal.

‘SNL’ Star Chris Redd Thankful After Brutal Attack in NYC
Per TMZ, Chris Redd is feeling happy and fortunate irrespective of the brutal attack he faced in the Big Apple. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, where he was treated and confirmed okay.
The next step is to apprehend the suspect(s), which the cops are already working on. It was reported that law enforcement is currently combing surveillance footage from the club.
The footage showed the exact moment the perpetrator threw a punch, hitting the comedian in his face. Reports show that the cops do not have a motive for the assault. Chris Redd is unable to identify the suspect from his NYC brutal attack.
But the Primetime Emmy award winner is working with investigators to pin down the assailant and a possible accomplice. The cops are also not taking the matter lightly.
