The Spy Kids Netflix reboot has cast Billy Magnussen (No Time to Die), as reported by Deadline. The revival from franchise creator Robert Rodriguez will also star Gina Rodriguez (Big Mouth), Zachary Levi (Shazam!), Everly Carganilla (The Afterparty), and Connor Esterson.
The creator of the original films is back as he directs, writes, and produces the untitled Spy Kids Netflix revival. Racer Max co-writes, making it his first major project. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Elizabeth Avellan, and Max will produce. Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre serve as executive producers. On the side of Netflix, Nick Nesbit will be the creative lead for the company.
The latest installment of the franchise will follow the children of secret agents who accidentally help a game developer release a computer virus that gives him the power to control all technology. They now must follow in their parents’ footsteps to stop the mad developer. It is unknown who Billy Magnussen plays in Spy Kids.
Billy Magnussen Cast in Spy Kids Netflix Reboot
The latest addition to the Spy Kids cast struck big in the past year, he starred in No Time to Die, The Many Saints of Newark, and the HBO Max series Made for Love, which was nominated for an Emmy. In previous years, he has been in Bridge of Spies, American Crime Story, Get Shorty, Game Night, Velvet Buzzsaw, and Aladdin.
The Netflix Spy Kids reboot has no official title or release window.
