This is not a test, Star Trek: Picard will have a reunion of the main cast of Star Trek: Next Generation. You heard that right, the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard will have LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, and Brent Spiner for Season 3. That means Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge, Lieutenant Worf, Commander William T. Riker, Doctor Beverly Crusher, Commander Deanna Troi, and Commander Data will be in Season 3. Spiner reprising his role as Data, has already reprised his role in the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard. Whoopi Goldberg has even reprised her role as Guinan. This time the main cast will be present for a Star Trek: Next Generation reunion. This will be the first time LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, and Gates McFadden have reunited with each other since Star Trek: Nemesis. Watch the announcement where the gang chats about reuniting.
Star Trek: Picard Will End with Season 3
The third and last season of Star Trek: Picard started on April 5. That so happens to First Contact Day to Trekkies. Vulcans made first contact with humans in 2063, seen in the 1996 film Star Trek: First Contact. The Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard started in 2020 and will end with a much-needed Star Trek: Next Generation reunion. Whether fans wanted a series centered around Picard doesn’t matter, they will get to see the team back together. They may not be fighting the Borg or going on missions as they did back in the day, but it’s something. It’s been too long since people have seen LeVar Burton as Geordi or Gates McFadden as Beverly. Star Trek: Next Generation lasted from 1987 to 1994 and produced four films with the original cast.
