While fame can have its negatives, it certainly has positives. In the case of Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn getting detained at an airport, his breakout role as Eddie Munson saved him. The actor revealed the story on The Tonight Show to host Jimmy Fallon that he was almost late for the show because of being taken by security, only to be saved by a worker who knew him for his role.

Being not believed started to make the situation more intense for Joseph Quinn, but Stranger Things recognition followed shortly to get him moving to make it for his interview.

Before getting his passport back to be on his way, of course, the man had to ask a Stranger Things question to Joseph Quinn. He asked if his metalhead character would be back. With an “I don’t know” response from the star, he was handed back his passport and told, “you better.”

Stranger Things season 4 introduced Joseph Quinn as Eddie Munson, a metalhead who was the Dungeon Master of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign. After the death of a classmate, Chrissy (Grace Van Dien), in his home, he became the top suspect in her death. When he joined the main cast, he found out the truth about the latest villain, Vecna, and the Upside Down.

While plenty of the cast has had years of gaining fan love, Joseph Quinn took one season of Stranger Things to become a fan favorite. Between his charisma, sick guitar skills, and his story of being an outcast, people gravitated toward him, and he became a standout for the penultimate season of the Netflix series.

Season 5 is set to be the final of the flagship series for the streaming giant. The end of the last season left a major cliffhanger for the people of Hawkins as spores fell from the sky. Soon, everyone will know about the monsters and Upside Down. The epic finale has no date set, but the writing process will begin in the next few weeks.
