Each dating app has its style for how people connect, and in a collaboration between Bumble and Ted Lasso, people will be able to connect without seeing pictures, as seen in the Apple TV series’ fictional app Bantr. The woman-centered app will feature the weekly event on October 13 at 7 p.m. local time on the Date Mode.

Fans can get a taste of what characters experienced in the series. While Bumble works with people both swiping right on one another, and the only conversation that can be started is when the woman initiates first (for heterosexual users, either person can message the other for homosexual users). The Ted Lasso version of Bumble with Bantr gives an anonymous twist, as you don’t know what the person looks like. It plays a major role in a subplot in season 2 for Rebecca Welton, played by Hannah Waddingham, who talked to a mysterious man.

The Ted Lasso dating app Bantr comes to life with Bumble crossover

The specifics of the Ted Lasso Bumble experience will give people short bursts of interactions. You will be randomly paired with someone and write to each other for three minutes. After the time limit, a message will ask the users if they want to continue. If they match, then the chat will transfer to the regular Date Mode messaging section.

Starting on October 13, it will be available in the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Australia until the end of the year. Users can RSVP each week and get a reminder when it goes live. People will also receive a code to redeem for a free two-month trial of Apple TV+.

Beyond the Bumble crossover, Ted Lasso is currently working on its third season. It is being aimed to be the final outing for the wholesome football comedy as it drives toward solving inner and outer conflicts, particularly one new enemy of Richmond, who revealed themself at the end of the second season.
