“Let’s Get This Patty Started!!!” The Belcher’s are going to the big screen! 20th Century Fox just released its official trailer for ‘The Bob’s Burgers Movie.’ It’s finally time for this burger-flipping, EMMY winning and long-running animated family to have their first film! The ‘BB’ Movie plot takes on the aspects of a musical, comedy, mystery, and adventure. PHEW. That’s a lot of genres, but if anyone can handle it, it’s the lovingly dysfunctional (and pretty relatable) Belcher family.

According to ‘The Bob’s Burgers Movie’ official website the synopsis says, “While Bob and Linda struggle to keep the business afloat, the kids try to solve a mystery that could save their family’s restaurant.” Both Linda and Tina reveal in the trailer that it’s summer(and Tina has big plans). If you watch the Belcher’s on TV, you know we’re in for one fun, messy, and somewhat heartwarming ride! The official Bob’s Burgers Twitter account released a  new poster this past September for the movie. The official release date was confirmed for ‘The Bob’s Burgers Movie’ for Memorial Day Weekend 2022!

If you’re unfamiliar with Bob’s Burgers, it’s a PG-13 animated TV sitcom. It premiered on January 9th, 2011, on Fox and is in its 12th season. You can usually find Bob’s Burgers playing on Fox, Adult Swim, or FXX (where Fox now plays most of its “adult” animations with less censoring).

Bob’s Burgers follows the average working-class Belcher family who runs a burger restaurant. Hijinx ensues as the calm Bob makes burgers, and his eccentric family creates some mischief. The Belcher family consists of the mom and dad, Linda and Bob Belcher, and kids Tina, Gene, and Louise. Bob’s Burgers is a comedy, but it’s a little more light-hearted sometimes and doesn’t exude as much shock humor as a lot of other “adult” animated sitcoms do.

‘The Bob’s Burgers Movie’ is being co-directed by Loren Bouchard and Bernard Derriman. Bouchard is the executive producer and creator of ‘Bob’s Burgers.’ Derriman was a supervising director on BB from seasons 2-9. The confirmed list of ‘The Bob’s Burgers Movie’ cast includes all the Belcher family as well as Kevin Kline, Zach Galifianakis, and David Wain.
