White Lotus Season 2 star Theo James has been cast in the Netflix series adaptation of The Gentlemen. It’s based on the 2019 Guy Ritchie film of the same name. The film starred Charlie Hunnam, Matthew McConaughey, Michelle Dockery, Henry Golding, Colin Farrell, and more. The Gentlemen series will follow Eddie Halstead, played by Theo James, who inherits his father’s large estate. Halstead realizes the estate is right on a weed empire. He’ll have to navigate the British criminal underground. Guy Ritchie co-wrote the script with Matthew Read. Ritchie will direct the first two episodes and will executive produce the Netflix adaptation series. Miramax TV and UK’s Moonage Pictures are producing the adaptation. Ivan Atkinson, Marn Davies, and Bill Block are executive producers of The Gentlemen series as well. Marc Helwig is an executive producer under Miramax TV. Will Gould and Matthew Read are producing under Moonage Pictures.

Theo James Has Found Great Success with Television Roles

The actor has many television credits on top of his well-known role as the brooding Tobias “Four” Eaton in the Divergent films. He played the lead in the short-lived series Golden Boy and was in the main cast of Castlevania. The actor received critical acclaim for his role as Sidney Parker in the Jane Austen adaptation series Sanditon. He also had the lead role in the recently canceled series The Time Traveler’s Wife. Theo James is in Season 2 of the HBO series The White Lotus. He adds the Netflix adaptation series The Gentlemen to his filmography. Theo James has played characters that dabble in the criminal world like his The Gentlemen series Eddie Halstead. The Netflix adaptation series further adds notoriety for the actor and allows him to play a leading man again.

James is already creating buzz after one episode of The White Lotus, which he’ll likely do with The Gentlemen series too. The Netflix series adaptation starts filming in London next week.
