Netflix has been on a roll with series reaching viewership highs, and with Wednesday reaching a new milestone, the streamer continues its streak of hits. The Addams Family series is the third most-watched English series, with 752 million hours watched since it hit the platform on November 23.

Room to grow is still there for the Jenna Ortega-led series. Since Netflix evaluates a project’s performance within the first 28 days, two more weeks are open for Wednesday to rack up more viewership to hit the billion mark, which Stranger Things season 4 achieved. It has the time to do so and has already broken records for its opening week, which contained 341 million hours watched.

Wednesday viewership milestone puts it as one of the top English Netflix series

Currently, the top two English language series on the platform that are above Wednesday in viewership are Dahmer and season 4 of Stranger Things. The Ryan Murphy series, which told the story of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, has 856 million hours viewed in its first 28 days and eventually crossed the billion mark. Meanwhile, the flagship sci-fi series put up a high bar for its fifth and final season as the fourth outing holds 1.35 billion in its first 28 days. The only other show with a billion views is Squid Game, which earned it an upcoming reality series and the green light for a second season.

The Addams Family series follows the titled character as she attends Nevermore Academy. While being a teenage student trying to fit in, she tries to solve a murder mystery and figure out her powers. Its spooky and fun tone with an ensemble cast has garnered it, with respectable reviews, although some of it was not quite clicking. Eddy Skripko gave it four out of five stars in The Nerd Stash’s review. He wrote that it “has all the spooky charm you’d expect from a Tim Burton story.”

It is currently available on the streaming platform to binge-watch.
