Actress Farrah Forke died at her home in Texas on February 25th at age 54 after a long battle with cancer. Farrah Forke was best known for her role as helicopter pilot Alex Lambert on Wings,  a role she played from seasons four through six. She also had guest-starring roles on Lois & Clark, Party of Five, and Fantasy Island. Some of her leading credits included her roles in Dweebs and Mr. Rhodes. Forke was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her death, and her family and close friends has a private service. A close friend said in a statement to People Magazine, “Farrah was fierce, tender, loyal, loving, strong, funny, smart, protective, kind, passionate and utterly irreplaceable. She brought a light so great to the world that even after her passing, the light remains.”

Born in 1968 in Corpus Christi, Texas, the Wings actress’s first acting role was in a local production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. She studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York. Daily Mail reports that Forke also had some film credits in addition to her TV roles. Her first film role was in 1991’s Brain Twisters. She also appeared in Barry Levinson’s Disclosure (1994) and Michael Mann’s Heat (1994). Her final onscreen appearance was in 2001’s It Is What It Is. She also did voice work, having voice Big Barda on Batman Beyond and Justice League Unlimited. This was her final acting role before leaving the profession to raise her children.

Forke’s Wings role saw her as a love interest to both Joe (Tim Daly) and Brian Hackett (Steven Weber). Joe ended up winning out in that battle.

Farrah Forke is survived by her mother and stepfather and her three sisters. Her friends and family ask for donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
